So you’ve had the baby, the lines of helpful family and friends are gone, your spouse is back to work, and you’re alone. Maybe you’re getting enough sleep, maybe you’re not, maybe you’ve eaten once a day, and if you’re really lucky you’ll shower once in the week. Your other kids are doing who knows what to your house and you can’t remember the last time you could walk across the kitchen floor without your socks sticking. Time for a postpartum doula!
As a highly trained postpartum doula (through CAPPA) I can help you transition as you recover, rest, and refresh. Services might include light housework or organizational help, meal planning or prep (I’m a pretty great cook! I can do healthy, whole, organic, or classic comfort and amazing treats), shopping and errands, emotional support for siblings or for you, keeping an eye on things while you shower or sleep, help with feeding, diapering or other baby care concerns, or whatever you may need help with until you feel ready and renewed. As a mother of five and with ten years of experience as a preschool owner, as well as teaching experience for all ages, and with organizational and housekeeping skills, I can help you get through these challenges. Want to take your rest to the next level? Let me pamper you with foot and hand reflexology and scalp massage. I have additional basic training in maternal mental health to help families recognize symptoms and get the resources they need when additional help is appropriate.
Postpartum support is $30/hour (including travel time if outside of Wasatch County.) Overnight service is $35/hour for anything after 10 p.m. and before 7 a.m. Special rates available for blocks of time, when paid in full upfront, or when booked with a birth doula package.
