1975-80; < Mod Greek: female servant
A doula is traditionally for birth and postpartum but other areas of doula work are becoming more common. If there are any traits that strongly define me as a person sage and service are the top two. I love to serve others, I love to learn and research and expand my knowledge base, I love to make difficult situations more bearable and I love to be around people. Aside from that, I love green. It’s fresh, it’s living, it’s peaceful. I get called the green-eyed girl and I even have a green front door and a green piano (come over and check it out!) I bought my first car at 16, a green Camaro, and someday I will get a new one! And I have a daughter with the middle name Jade, another shade of green. When trying to think of a name for my doula practice I really wanted to find something that was significant to me, something that people would hear and say, “yep, that’s her!” When Sage Doula came to me and was an available name it fit perfectly. I hope you agree and I’d love to serve and support you with experience and wisdom for any aspect of your life! ~Michelle Holmes
